27th February 2020 marked the 2nd Swiss Breakfast Talk at the Embassy of Switzerland in Malaysia. The enthusiastic group of SMBA members were served a wonderful breakfast specially created by the Chef of the Swiss Embassy.
The guest speaker was Ambassador Markus Schlagenhof, Delegate of the Federal Council for Trade Agreements and head of the World State Secretariat for Economic Affairs, Berne. His presentation about “Swiss Free Trade Policy and Practice” was very informative and interesting. He was giving an overview on the opportunities and challenges his team is facing when negotiating new free trade agreements and how successful agreements can benefit Switzerland, as a highly export dependent economy, to do business abroad.
With this, SMBA would want to extend a big thank you to the Ambassador of Switzerland H.E. Andrea Reichlin and her hard-working team to make this event possible and hosting us in such a grand manner.
