SMCC had planned a HR Circle but with the extension of the CMCO, it was unfortunate that the scheduled speaker, Puan Noor Azilah, Director of the Employment Services Division at the Labour Department, could not be physically present. Instead, Andreas Charles, Head of Strategic Initiatives & Disability Employment from PERKESO, addressed attendees through a virtual gathering of more than 30 members. Charles tackled the topic of new employment rules and guidelines by the government to secure local employment through Penjana Kerjaya hiring incentives. These new policies are already implemented through vacancies highlighted on Penjana’s job portal, MYFutureJobs. The 90-minute session also shed light on pertinent information on current market situations. SMCC will organise a second session, highlighting new policies implemented by the ministries.
