Swiss Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (SMCC) had the pleasure to collaborate with International Labour Organisation (ILO) once again to discuss on the topic of “Skills Mismatch: Addressing Companies Needs”.
A huge appreciation to SR Technics for hosting SMCC first HR Circle of the year.
The event kickstarted by SMCC’s chairperson, Mr. Simon Fluck, with his welcoming speech. Mr. Daniel Koehler, Head of Commercial at SR Technics, shared some interesting information about SR Technics to the participants. Mr. Ralph Stamm, Deputy Head of Mission at Embassy of Switzerland in Malaysia, who shared a video explaining the vocational and professional education and training (VPET).
Mr. Junichi Mori, Chief Technical Advisor at ILO, began the discussion on quality apprenticeship with an overview of ILO’s initiatives for quality apprenticeship and Skills for Prosperity Programme in Malaysia (SfP-Malaysia). His colleague, Mr. Nizam, gave a more detailed presentation on the pilot quality apprenticeship by SfP-Malaysia.
Ms. Mahanim Mansor, HR Director of Schindler Malaysia, together with Mr. Foo Chek Lee from the Master Builders Association Malaysia shared some input on quality apprenticeship to the participants.
