Swiss Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (SMCC) is excited to announce that we have launched our first Digital Circle! We are excited to have our very own Digital Circle to help companies embrace both digital and sustainability to gain a significant competitive advantage.
Our first Digital Circle event was in collaboration with Selangor Information Technology & Digital Economy Corporation (SIDEC). SMCC’s chairman, Mr. Simon Fluck, welcomed all members, SIDEC, and the special speakers and panelists. Mr. Loo Chuan Boon, COO of SIDEC presented information regarding SIDEC before Mr. Patrick Klotz, Managing Director of Mindset Sdn Bhd, took over to moderate the session. Patrick invited Mr. Anthony See, co-founder of Food Market Hub, the first speaker to share. Anthony shared how Food Market Hub started as a kitchen ordering solution design by Restaurateur to Restaurant to help restaurant gain control of their food cost. Food Market Hub provide restaurants long-term sustainability by controlling and reducing costs effectively.
After the presentation from Anthony, Patrick invited Mr. Sebastian Goh, Managing Director of BELIMO Automation Malaysia for his sharing session. Belimo is the global market leader in the development, production, and sales of field devices for the energy-efficient control of heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems. The customer-oriented CESIM method developed by Belimo for optimizing building technology with sensors, control valves and damper actuators ensures that their products have a major influence on comfort, energy consumption, safety, installation and maintenance in buildings.
Patrick invited both panelists – Ms. Angeline Seah, Associate Director of UN Global Compact Malaysia & Brunei, and Benny Tan, CEO of Subplace, for a Q&A session.
At the end of the event, SIDEC provided the participants with a delicious lunch buffet.
