Swiss Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (SMCC) organized an insightful HR Circle at the prestigious Nestlé Malaysia.
In collaboration with MyNext Sdn Bhd by Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad (TalentCorp), the 2023 Q2 HR Circle commenced with Ms. Nurizan Hussin welcoming all the attendees and expressing gratitude towards the speakers. Mr. Juan Aranols, CEO of Nestlé Malaysia and Singapore Region, gave his welcoming speech before Ms. Mitzie Antonio, HR Director of Nestlé Malaysia and Singapore Region, introduced Nestlé and its achievements.
Mr. Brian Choong, Manager, Sector Head, Industry Partnership for TalentCorp began the session by sharing a comprehensive overview of TalentCorp’s initiatives. TalentCorp seeks to address the different challenges in the talent ecosystem, such as talents mismatch, creation of high-skilled jobs, industry-ready talents, and workforce retention. With these challenges in mind, TalentCorp developed three strategic thrusts – optimizing Malaysian talent, attracting & facilitating global talent, and building networks of top talent.
Mr. Nakeeran Marimuthu, Manager, Business Development at MyNext Sdn Bhd by TalentCorp, shared about MyNext an initiative dedicated to driving TalentCorp’s first strategic thrust of optimizing Malaysian talent. MyNext Company is dedicated to empowering the national workforce by seamlessly integrating talent solutions and analytics on a unified platform. Their primary objective is to bridge the disparity between Malaysia’s talent pool and the evolving demands of future job markets. They achieve this through their active involvement in TalentCorp’s Structured Internship Programme (MySIP).
After a short Q&A session, the participants enjoyed a scrumptious lunch. We would like to extend our appreciation to Nestlé Malaysia for hosting this HR Circle and MyNext Sdn Bhd by TalentCorp for an informative presentation.
