It was just like any other day in the ever so bustling Kuala Lumpur, where the Swiss Malaysian Business Association (SMBA) once again, organized the much-anticipated 18th Annual General Meeting. The 18th Annual General Meeting took place at a vibrant and cozy restaurant called Hubba Hubba Sentral, CIMB Tower, located in the very heart of Kuala Lumpur. Co-incidental enough, the eighteenth general meeting was held on the 18th of April 2017.
As expected of a very responsible team player, Ms. Angie arrived at the venue early to set up a registration station for SMBA members that would arrive soon. Not long after, she was joined by Ms. Nurizan, who offered her a helping hand, making sure the registration process ran smoothly. Despite the heavy traffic and minor drizzle that evening, members of the SMBA started arriving one, after another. The foyer of the restaurant that was quiet and inanimate before, had now become lively with constant exchange of greetings. The members who arrived early, were greeted and ushered into the dining area which had been transformed into a very sophisticated and warm meeting area. Soon after one stepped foot into the area, the place seemed somewhat unfamiliar. A long table was placed in front of the room for all the board members, from which they would be facing the audience.
