Swiss Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (SMCC)’s Sunsetter event is a networking event organised for our members to get to know one another. For our recent Sunsetter event, SMCC members visited Penang Island not only for the networking session but we also had the privilege to tour ESCATEC.
The eventful day began with an introductory speech by SMCC Chairperson, Simon Fluck and the Chief Finance Officer of ESCATEC, Roman Ziegler at ESCATEC’s auditorium.
ESCATEC Penang General Manager, Lambert Schutters, gave a detailed presentation about the history of ESCATEC as well as the solutions they provide for their customers. Through hard work, ESCATEC evolved from small EMS manufacturing contractor to a multinational organisation providing complete solutions for industry leading OEMs – from concept to delivery.
SMCC members had the opportunity to tour and understand the manufacturing process for different industries such as industrial electronics; medical, healthcare & life-sciences, mobility and transportation.
After the tour at ESCATEC, SMCC members gathered at The Wine Shop for dinner and networking session. It was truly a memorable night filled with delicious food and great companionship! SMCC is happy to have all the members connecting with one another.
We would like to express our gratitude to ESCATEC for hosting SMCC and organising an amazing tour.
