We are pleased to share the successful conclusion of our 1st Annual General Meeting after our conversion to a CLBG. The event was held at the elegant Bungalow 37, with the participation of 35 of our esteemed members.
Mr. Simon Fluck, Chairman of Swiss Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (SMCC), set the tone for a productive and engaging session by welcoming everyone and providing a report on past activities. The official proceedings followed, with all agenda items presented and approved.
Mr. Laurent Maillefer, board member in charge of events, walked the audience through our mission, and gave an exciting outlook on the events planned for 2025 and 2026.
Our Treasurer, Mr. André Keller, delivered a detailed presentation on financial accounts, reinforcing SMCC’s commitment to transparency and sound financial governance.
Last but not least, we were honoured to have H.E. Chantal Moser, Ambassador of Switzerland to Malaysia, grace the occasion and deliver a special address to our members, highlighting the good collaboration between SMCC and the Embassy, as well as the recent positive development for business relations between Switzerland and Malaysia through the signature of the EFTA-Malaysia Free Trade Agreement.
