We celebrated Swiss National Day 2025 on 1st August at ROM8 Studio Damansara, marking the 734th anniversary of Switzerland. It was a delightful evening filled with laughter and warm connections, bringing together approximately 223 guests, including Swiss citizens residing in Malaysia and members of the Swiss Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (SMCC).
The celebration opened with a welcome drink, generously offered by the Embassy of Switzerland in Malaysia , setting a warm and festive tone. One of the highlights was the traditional Swiss cuisine catered by Chalet Suisse, with the Raclette stations being a clear crowd favourite. Alongside a variety of Swiss specialties and desserts, it was our pleasure to share a true taste of Switzerland with all our guests.
This year’s Swiss National Day was more than a celebration it was a meaningful occasion to share Swiss culture and heritage. Guests had the opportunity to watch the official August 1st address by Karin Keller- Sutter, President of the Swiss Confederation, who reflected on Swiss values such as peace, democracy, freedom of expression, and neutrality. This was followed by a speech from Chantal Moser, Ambassador of Switzerland to Malaysia, further emphasizing the strong ties between our two nations.
