It was a great honour for Swiss Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (SMCC) to be invited by the Ambassador of Switzerland, Her Excellency Andrea Reichlin, and the Ambassador of Royal Embassy of Norway, His Excellency Morten Paulsen, to a delightful dinner reception at the Swiss Residence.
The European Free Trade Association, EFTA, consisting of Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland is negotiating an Economic Partnership Agreement with Malaysia.
Thank you to the EFTA delegation led by Ambassador Markus Schlagenhof, Delegate of the Swiss Federal Council for Trade Agreements and Head of the World Trade Division at the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs SECO, for providing an opportunity for us to network with EFTA government experts as well as business representatives.
It was also our pleasure to meet the First Secretary of the Royal Norwegian Embassy, Tom Jørgen Martinussen, and the chairman of Malaysian Norway Business Council (MNBC), Bjarte Olsen, last night at the dinner reception.
